Located on the shores of Ozahoshi Pond in Nagano Forest Village, a landmark of the Iizuna Plateau, Forest Adventure Nagano is easily accessible, just a 25-minute drive from central Nagano City, about an hour from Joetsu City in Niigata Prefecture, and about two hours from Toyama and other areas of the Hokuriku region!

New activities will be added to the Adventure Course in April 2025!

Forest Adventure Nagano is a thrilling outdoor facility offering two courses to choose from: the thrilling “Adventure Course,” featuring four zip slides over the pond, and the “Canopy Course,” suitable for visitors from 110cm tall! The exhilarating 150m zip slide, which lets you glide over Daizahoshi Pond with Mt. Iizuna in the background, is also available on the Canopy Course. New activities are also scheduled to be added to the Adventure Course in April 2025! Fun for adults and children alike, why not bring the whole family to the challenge?

Other activities available for families and groups include trampolines and laser tag, a survival game where players shoot each other with bullet-less lasers. Children who do not yet meet the minimum age requirements can enjoy the free athletic facility, “Kotengu no Mori,” or boating on the pond.

There’s more to enjoy at Iizuna Highlands!

The surrounding area is home to leisure facilities like Togakushi Shrine and Zenkoji Temple, two of Shinshu’s most famous power spots, as well as the popular Chibikko Ninja Village, perfect for families with children. There are also plenty of hands-on tourist spots, like Tonkururin, where you can make your own soba noodles, and the pottery studio Raku Pottery Studio, where you can create your own bowls and mugs! For example, how about visiting Forest Adventure Nagano, making soba noodles and having lunch at Tonkururin, then experiencing pottery at Raku Pottery Studio, and finally taking a bath at Tengu no Yakata?

After your adventure at Nagano Forest Village, where Forest Adventure is located, you can enjoy coffee and a meal at the area’s cafe, or even have a BBQ with everyone! Nearby, you’ll also find the bathhouse Asobi Banagano Park, the natural hot spring Tengu no Yakata, and Togakushi Campground, where you can enjoy the dramatic rock formations right before your eyes. Spending the day relaxing in nature is another great attraction!

ADVENTURE COURSE

This is a thrilling adventure course that takes advantage of the characteristics of the forest.
Would you like to have an extraordinary experience from 6m to 13m above the tree, including 4 zip slides over the pond?
Time required: Average 1.5-2 hours

Conditions

Minimum height: 1.40m or over 10 years old / Maximum weight: 110kg
Junior high school students and under must be accompanied by a supervising adult(+18).
High school students can do the course unaccompanied. Adults must still supervise from the ground.
One adult (18+) may supervise up to three children.

CANOPY COURSE

Compared to the adventure course, the height and difficulty are slightly lower.
The whole family can enjoy it, not only children but also adults who are afraid of heights.
Of course, you can also try the zip slide on the canopy course!
There are two zip slides through the forest, and two zip slides over the exhilarating Ozahoshi Pond.
You can enjoy a total of 4 zip slides!

【Survival game without bullets】

“Laser tag”

“Laser tag” is a survival game set in the forest where you shoot each other with lasers that don’t shoot bullets. Everyone can enjoy it with family and friends. If you only use “laser tag”, the fee is 1,500 yen per person for 20 minutes, and if you are using the course, it is 1,000 yen per person.

[Auxiliary facilities]

“Nagano Forest Village,” where “Forest Adventure Nagano” is located, has “Mori no Eki,” which has a cafe/restaurant and a marche (farm’s direct sales store). You can enjoy the food. It’s also great to be able to enjoy coffee or a meal after your adventure, or buy local ingredients as souvenirs at the marche.

【Campsite/BBQ】

You can casually enjoy a barbecue on the spacious lawn area overlooking Daiza Hoshi Pond. You can also buy ingredients at Marche and go camping empty-handed.

【Cafe/Restaurant】

There is also a cafe where you can enjoy dishes made with locally grown vegetables, as well as a take-out menu, and we are open from morning until night. Recommended for a meal after playing Forest Adventure.
