This is Forest Adventure Shiogama.
Sendai is rich in culture and historical buildings. Not only the city itself, but also the surrounding Matsushima area offers beautiful and scenic views.
Shiogama City, where Forest Adventure Shiogama is located, is home to the historic “Shiogama Shrine,” which even the famous warlord Date Masamune once visited, as well as the “Shiogama City Fish Market,” where you can enjoy seafood—especially tuna, for which the area is famous.
Today, we would like to introduce sightseeing spots that you can enjoy together with Forest Adventure Shiogama!
・Sendai City Area
Sendai is known as the “City of Trees,” a beautiful place where nature and urban life coexist in harmony. The city is full of greenery, with tree-lined streets and many parks.It was originally developed as a castle town by the feudal lord Date Masamune, and you can still feel its history at sites such as the Sendai Castle Ruins and Ōsaki Hachimangū Shrine.While the city has large shopping centers and lively commercial districts, it is also close to both the ocean and the mountains, allowing visitors to enjoy both nature and urban attractions.

・Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium
This is one of the most popular aquariums in Miyagi Prefecture, featuring many marine creatures native to the local waters.At the outdoor stadium, visitors can enjoy dolphin and sea lion performances.

Standing over 100 meters tall, the Sendai Daikannon is a landmark that can be seen from afar.

A lively market that reflects the strong fishing culture of Shiogama.Visitors can fully experience the atmosphere of a local seafood market and enjoy the freshest local catches.You can purchase your favorite seafood inside the market, then visit the “Make-Your-Own Seafood Bowl Corner” in Section 6 to order rice and create your own original seafood bowl.
